Remote iSeries Support is a WIN/WIN solution by offering more timely results while reducing expenses for our customers.
iSeries functionality has developed to the point that experienced technicians can deliver most services remotely including; operational support, systems management, problem determination, performance management, version/release upgrades, PTF management, and even remote migration support to new or upgraded systems. Qualifying for remote iSeries support requires the following:
- Remote secured access to your network or system(s) (VPN, WebEx, VNC, Internet access, etc.)
- Profile and password access on your system(s) and console, with profile authorities sufficient to perform the support tasks
- OpsConsole or HMC (twinax console significantly limits remote support)
